Bike Event
200km, 2 Days and over 11,000ft of ascent!
Extreme Energy are delighted to introduce an EXTREME distance
multi-day Mountain Biking Challenge following the oldest roadway in
the UK, dating back to 3000BC. The event is in partnership with
BucksMTB Mountain Bike Club.
The route follows the mountain bike route of the Ridgeway path from
Wendover in Buckinghamshire to Swindon in Wiltshire, and back again!
A
tough but fun weekend of Mountain Biking with everything except the
cycling taken care of by the Extreme Energy team.
This is not a race but a timed event with the opportunity to earn a
Gold, Silver or Bronze standard. Riders will be set off in groups at 2
minute intervals.
The event is open to individuals or teams.
Mountain bikers and cyclo-cross riders both welcome.
You enter for both days or alternatively one specific day.
Format:
2 Day Mountain Bike event covering 100km off road
riding each day.

Cost Options:
Entry for both full days is £100 per head
with the option to enter a single day being £48 per head.
For
those doing one day optional overnight accommodation is available at £25
per head.
Accommodation:
The
Ridgeway School Swindon sleeping in the school hall, with full shower
and feeding facilities.
Facilities:
Toilets and
showers at the overnight in Swindon along with a bike wash and secure
overnight bike storage.
Toilets and

wash at Wendover on day 2.
Food:
All
food will be provided Saturday Evening and Sunday morning. There will
also be water and food available at each checkpoint (please do not rely
on checkpoint food as your only fuel, this should be viewed as
additional to the fuel you carry yourself)
Kit:
We
will transport all non cycling kit to the overnight. 1 bag per
competitor allowed. There is a recommended kit list to be carried en
route - please view our kit list here
You
will also need to bring overnight gear for the Saturday night including
sleeping bag, sleeping mat, wash gear, clothes for the evening and anything
else to make yourself comfortable.
